part a:
Science is the observations and studies of your surroundings--which aren't limited to the physical world. Images I get when thinking about science are sociology and economics text books, particle accelerators, lab coats, nuclear fission and fusion animations, marine life, and the water cycle.
part b:
To be in a science class means to gain and apply knowledge and data in order to make conclusions and predictions and solve problems.
part c:
Science class is important because it exercises the more systematic problem-solving part of the brain and combines the skills needed for comprehension of events and objectives with the skills needed for more math-based purposes to relate and apply thoughts to the real world.
