Physics Chapter 1 Discussion Questions: 2, 5, & 9.: "2. The merits of using an actually person's foot are that it would be more convenient and available to everyone at all times. The drawback..."
2. Not everyone's foot is 12 inches long therefore a standard customary measurement is needed.
5. If it is in the U.S. it should be miles because we use the customary measurement system and we are not going to change anytime soon.
9. I would not round the answer because it is true that some of your answers would not be as exact as you need them.

What is Science?
part a:
Science is the observations and studies of your surroundings--which aren't limited to the physical world. Images I get when thinking about science are sociology and economics text books, particle accelerators, lab coats, nuclear fission and fusion animations, marine life, and the water cycle.
part b:
To be in a science class means to gain and apply knowledge and data in order to make conclusions and predictions and solve problems.
part c:
Science class is important because it exercises the more systematic problem-solving part of the brain and combines the skills needed for comprehension of events and objectives with the skills needed for more math-based purposes to relate and apply thoughts to the real world.

WHAT IS SCIENCE :))
According to Kody, Science is a method and/or representation of theories and laws concerning life in general.
When i think of science i think of the nature portion of it. I honestly don't think about all of the math that also goes into science......I also like to think of all of the electronic portions of science such as computers and iPods :)
To be in a science class means to be actively learning and experimenting with the many dimensions of science.
Although this class may not be important to someone who is going into a completely different field, i believe that science should be a very important part of every one's life--simply because we are surrounded by science each and every day.

********<{[What is Science???????>}]
Part 1: So you are enrolled into a science class. What is Science? What images do you have when you think of science? Obviously I am enrolled in the class. Science is the study/inspection/attempt to understand the natural world and the laws that control it. When I think of science, I think of glass beakers and the Roess Boss.
Part b: What does it mean to be in a science class? To attempt to the best of your ability to learn about the natural world from your teacher.
Part c: Why is this class important or is it? It is of moderate importance. I don't think I will ever apply it in everyday life, but it is somewhat interesting to learn how this junk works. Unless of course I become an astronaut, and then I will probably use some of it.

Hello Everyone
Hello, classmates!
I have taken over the Blog. You will bow to me. Pray to me. Eat to me. Sleep to me. Dream to me.
But never will you be me...
I am better than coach Roessler at Blog stuff.
